The Ballet of the Rome Opera, adorned in sumptuous creations by Dior, will take the stage at the Palais des Congrès for a series of breathtaking performances. Under the choreography of the renowned Giorgio Mancini and led by star Eleonora Abbagnato, "Danced Night" is intended as a tribute to the combined virtuosity of the Rome Opera Ballet and Dior's workshops. The show promises to weave a story that celebrates the compositions of American composer Philip Glass, with a particular focus on his Piano Concerto. Mancini's choreography commits to preserving a "classical" gestural language, imbued with timeless elegance while introducing a contemporary dynamism. Similarly, "Roman Night" offers a different charm. Set in the sumptuous setting of the Palazzo Farnese in Rome, Abbagnato embodies Nox, the Roman goddess of the night, who awakens the spirits of the nobility who once walked its corridors and gardens. Initially presented as a dance film by Dior, in collaboration with Angelin Preljocaj, this piece combines movement and costume with the moving melodies of Franz Schubert's music.
